Terra Plot is a product of Tech for African Problems (TFAP), South Africa.

The service

Terra Plot provides satellite-based land mapping, classification, screening analyses and report generation, licensed per organisation with named users and a licence period. Access ends when a licence lapses; your organisation's data is retained and access resumes on renewal.

Accuracy and professional responsibility

Outputs are estimated working records derived from satellite imagery and public elevation data. They are not cadastral surveys, valuations, floodline determinations or fire-risk certificates, and they do not replace the professional judgement of registered surveyors, valuers, engineers or planners. Statutory duties under the Land Survey Act 8 of 1997, SPLUMA 16 of 2013, the National Water Act 36 of 1998 and the National Veld and Forest Fire Act 101 of 1998 remain with the responsible professionals and landowners.

Your data (POPIA)

Your organisation's sites, maps and reports are visible only to your organisation's licensed users and to TFAP for support and operation of the service. Account information processed: name, work e-mail address and usage records, used solely to operate and secure the service. TFAP does not sell personal information. Data is hosted with our infrastructure providers under industry-standard security. To access, correct or delete your information, contact info@tfap.co.za.

Fair use

Licences cover your organisation's professional work for its own clients. Reselling access, sharing accounts beyond licensed seats, or bulk-extracting the service's outputs for a competing product is not permitted.
